What happened to Minnie Merriman?
Minnie Merriman, from West Yorkshire, was found injured at Elliot Industrial Estate in Arbroath on Sunday, August 2. She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she was pronounced dead. Her father, Christopher Rice, 35, appeared in court charged with her murder. The family had been camping near the beach when the incident occurred.

The club issued a statement asking fans to join in the minute’s silence before kickoff. "We ask all fans to join us in observing a minute’s silence in memory of nine-year-old Minnie Merriman," the Red Lichties said. The team, who scored 43 goals and conceded 41 last season, will face Partick at home on December 12, 2026, in their next fixture.
